2024 Primary Presidential Election - Early Voting

Date: In-person early voting runs from May 2 to May 9, 2024 (including Saturday and Sunday).  

Time: Early voting centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Locations: Go to an early voting center in your county. Check the state board of elections for a list of early voting centers. The list is available in English or Spanish.

Candidates:

• U.S. President
• U.S. Senator and U.S. House of Representatives
  • Find your representatives in the U.S. House and Senate on Congress.gov. 
  • Bowie residents can find their political districts on the City of Bowie website.
• School Board
  • Find your school board district using your address on the PGCPS map. 
  • Bowie residents can find their political districts on the City of Bowie website.
• Judge of the Circuit Court

Voter registration:

• If you vote early, you cannot vote on the day of the Primary Election or by mail-in ballot. Find more information about voter registration on the state board of elections website.
• If you have been convicted of a felony and have completed serving a court-ordered sentence of imprisonment, you are eligible to register to vote, according to the state board.
• You do not qualify to register to vote if you have been convicted of buying or selling votes.

Election security and rumor control:

• Early voting is not new in the state, dating back more than a decade in Maryland, according to the state board.
