Register to vote: For the 2022 primary election for governor, you must be registered to vote by June 28. Although you may register to vote at any time, voter registration closes 21 days before an election. The 2022 Gubernatorial Primary Election is July 19.
- Use the voter lookup to verify if you are already registered.
- Register to vote on the Prince George's County Board of Elections website.
- June 28 is also the last day to make changes to your voter registration for this election.
Make a plan: Plan how you will vote (early voting, mail-in ballot or election day voting), and know where to go to cast your vote.
- Early Voting Center: Early voting is July 7-14, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Go to the Bowie Gymnasium or any other early voting center of your choice.
- Mail-in Ballot: All registered Maryland voters have the option to vote by mail. If you are interested in this option, first submit a request for your mail-in ballot. You may return the mail-in ballot to the post office or at a designated drop box. Check the drop box locations.
- Polling Place: To vote the day of the primary election, go to your assigned polling place. Due to redistricting, your polling place may have changed. Check for updates.
- Reassigned Polling Place: If you are elderly or disabled and need a different polling place that is barrier-free, you may request a reassigned precinct. Call the Prince George's County Board of Elections: 301-341-7300 or download the request form (PDF).
