Beginning in June on the first Sunday of the month, NASA Goddard Visitor Center is open for  model rocket launches.  The launches start at 1 p.m. and are sponsored by the Baltimore-based NARHAMS model rocket club. Spectators are welcome.

Although there are no costs or fees to participate, you will need to bring your own model rocket. Purchase rockets, motors and supplies at the nearby Goddard Gift Shop, toy store or local local hobby shop. Experts will be on hand to offer tips.
