Join Indivisible Bowie and Beyond to celebrate and carry forth the civil rights work of John Lewis this July 17 through July 19.Here in Prince George’s County, Indivisible Bowie and Beyond (IBBMD) is bringing together grassroots organizations, legal advocates, faith leaders, and community members for a unified collective push to support one another in making our voices heard. The July 17-19 weekend will be anchored by non-partisan voter engagement, civic education and faith-based organizing, all under the banner of “Teach! Reach! Preach!”.● REACH: Join a special voting-themed Visibility Brigade, Friday, July 17, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Pedestrian Bridge Over Route 50. https://mobilize.us/s/dYJsI8● TEACH: Come to our family-friendly Teach-In on Saturday, July 18, 1:00-4:00 pm, Picnic Area 7 in Allen Pond Park, Northview Drive, Bowie. We will paint rocks, make VOTE keychains, and play games as a fun way to learn about and celebrate John Lewis and his fight for voting rights for Black Americans.We will have Preston Thomas III, J.D., newly elected to the Prince George's County Central Committee, to provide information on state and local government and answer civics questions.
