Leading up to the July 19 primary election, the ACLU of Maryland will open a hotline for voters with questions or concerns. The Election Protection Hotline will take calls July 6-19, from 9 a.m to 5 p.m., in English and Spanish.

Call if you are wondering, can I vote? Where and how do I vote? What if I have problems trying to cast my vote? According to the ACLU of Maryland, you can vote even if you are:

• Unhoused.
• In confined housing, such as a juvenile detention facility, mental health facility, or nursing home.
• A "returning citizen," meaning you have been in jail or prison before but are out now.
• Not currently incarcerated for a felony, including if you are on parole, probation, awaiting trial, or currently incarcerated for a misdemeanor.
• In college. Students can register to vote at their home address or school address.
