The volunteer-led Greenbelt News Review has published continuously since 1937, while the nonprofit newspaper College Park Here & Now celebrates its five-year anniversary. 

Local startups The Bowie Sun digital newspaper and The Intersection magazine entered after other publications folded or scaled down.

WTOP and other legacy media have faced a shrinking share of the advertising market. 

The panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities for local news.
