Old Bowie Celebrates! is a fun-filled, community festival on Saturday, October 5, 11 am – 5 pm honoring the rich cultural heritage of our town. Festival-goers will enjoy a full day of musical performances on multiple stages that showcase a variety of genres and cultures. The festival also features a medley of entertainers, including a stilt walker and magicians; marble game workshops; and a trackless train to ride along the Heritage Trail. Children can explore a special area of their own—with arts and craft activities, face painting, and performances designed just for them! With a juried art show, arts and craft vendors, and local and ethnic foods, the festival offers something for everyone.
Old Bowie Celebrates! spans 12th St. & Chestnut Ave., to Maple Avenue at 9th Street. Co-sponsored by the Old Bowie Arts & Heritage Committee and the City of Bowie. Admission is free.
