The Prince George's County chapter of The NAACP and Reid Temple AME Church will host an in-person candidates forum ahead of the upcoming special election. The forum will be held at Reid Temple in Glenn Dale Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The special election on Aug. 6 is required to fill the vacant at-large seat on the County Council due to the resignation of Mel Frankiln, who was charged with embezzling campaign funds. The forum will provide yet another opportunity for voters to hear from the candidates vying for the seat before the day of the special election primary.
