The Bowie City Council has extended its gift card donation drive for fire victims through Friday, May 3. City Council members established the drive to help provide immediate assistance and vital support to families impacted by devastating home fires in Pointer Ridge and at Woodland Lake Condominiums.

How to participate: Drop off a gift card in any amount, from any establishment, at Bowie City Hall, located at 15901 Fred Robinson Way, through May 3. Donations will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The generosity of community members will help bring comfort and relief to the families as they navigate through this challenging time.

“Every donation, regardless of size, plays a crucial role in recovery. Together we can demonstrate the resilience and compassion that define the spirit of Bowie” said Lori Cunningham, who is managing this effort for the City. For further inquiries or to learn more about how to contribute, contact Lori Cunningham at lcunningham@cityofbowie.org or 240-544-5601.
