Tune in to watch or register to speak at a County Council public hearing on how communities may be affected by the Bowie-Mitchellville and Vicinity Sectional Map Amendment.

Last year, the Prince George's County Council approved the Bowie-Mitchellville and Vicinity Master Plan (CR-018-2022). The sectional map amendment applies to properties within the 2022 approved plan boundary, according to a County Council press release.

That amendment revises existing zoning to conform to the recommended zoning in the approved master plan, according to the Prince George's County Planning Board. The master plan includes future land use of the Six Flags property and the proposed rezoning of Freeway Airport and the now closed Frank's Nursery.
