Conference: The Coalition to Protect Maryland Burial Sites will host a statewide conference and annual meeting in historic Havre De Grace on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come share ideas, express concerns or receive conservation tips and other advice about a cemetery.

Registration: Register by May 1 on the coalition's website or print the form and mail it. Each attendee will need to complete the registration form individually. If you are not a member yet, you may apply for membership directly on the coalition website.

Agenda:

  • Conservation tips from Robert Mosko of Mosko Cemetery Monument Services
  • An open forum, which aims to include participants from every Maryland county
  • Presentations on local Havre de Grace and Harford County cemeteries
  • A tour of two local cemeteries, Mt. Erin and St. James Cemeteries

Cost: In-person registration is $50 for members, $55 for non-members, and includes lunch. For those unable to attend, donations will be accepted.

Parking: Recommended off-site parking is available two blocks north of The State Theater on St. John Street at the American Legion, as well as six blocks west at Pennington Avenue and N. Adams Street, across from the police station. You may also find available parking on most areas streets. See the parking map for more details.
