Unicorn Festival: The kids won't believe their eyes when they see horses decked out in a rainbow of colors at The Big Purple Barn, a horse and small farm animal sanctuary in Bowie. The family-friendly event is set for April 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Weather: The event is rain or shine unless dangerous conditions force a rain date. 

Accessibility: The barnyard and meadow are handicapped and stroller accessible.

Food Truck and Vendors: Enjoy delicious eats and treats, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. Get your sparkle on with face painting, crafts, jewelry and other creative items provided by vendors.
