Disaster Aid USA will offer free training Feb. 18 for volunteers who want to prepare and respond to weather-related disasters.

Zoom or in-person training:
The volunteer training is offered in-person or via Zoom. The session will cover topics such as personal safety, travel to the disaster base camp and types of deployment assignments.
In addition, the training will discuss the history of Lanham-based Disaster Aid USA. The nonprofit was founded by members of the Rotary Club of Prince George’s County, which holds club meetings in Bowie.
Who should attend:
The disaster training is open to Rotarians and other citizens who are active in the community, including emergency management leaders and members of civic groups and religious organizations.
