Join an NIH study on postpartum depression. Compensation provided
If you have experienced postpartum depression after childbirth, consider joining an NIH study to help researchers understand if such depression is caused by hormonal changes.
The study is enrolling local participants in the Washington, D.C. region. Healthy mothers ages 18-50 are invited to participate in the outpatient study at the NIH Clinical Center. To find out if you qualify, email NIMH or call 301-496-9576 [TTY: 711].
There is no cost to participate. Compensation is provided.
The seven-month study involves 30-45 minute appointments every two weeks. During the visits, study participants will undergo clinical interviews, psychological testing, mood self-ratings, blood draws and routine laboratory tests.
