The City of Bowie Public Works Department will flush fire hydrants in areas served by city water this spring and again in the fall. The spring flush will be performed during the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following schedule:

The Heather Hills section will not be flushed this spring due to recently replaced pipes.

The city has produced a video explaining what to expect during hydrant flushing, which may run discolored water and affect adjacent neighborhoods.
